You're all heard me talk about my obsession with the lemon-vodka hairspray I make. I mean, come on. How cool is that to tell people? It's been one of the most simple yet practical things I make at home that really does work. Instead of spraying toxic chemicals on my head each morning, I keep my hair put together with a little homemade magic.

The lemon vodka combo however isn't the strongest hold and might not keep together your prom curls or Mohawk. Instead, I have discovered the power of sugar hairspray! Almost identical in easiness, sugar hairspray will leave your hair rock hard. Like, think strong hold written all over the bottle. I'm sure you could adjust it to your preference but the version I made won't be used on me till my wedding day - it'll keep all of my little frizzy hairs in place.

So, if you're looking for another option (or just happen to be allergic to lemons) check out this easy recipe!

Hi! How long will this hairspray recipe last before spoiling? Do I need to store it in the fridge? Also, can I use something like organic cane sugar, or does it need to be a specific type of sugar?
